Dear all-
My client want to use QV authentication and does not want any SSO or Windows authentication. So no Active Directory and no LDAP either.
So custom authentication is possible. But they have Small Business Edition which does not support DMS authorization. NTLM authorization is not possible here.
How can I do custom authorization? If I have permissions in ODBC, will it work? I don't find anywhere where this has been used.
They have QV Publisher.
What is the best option in this scenario? Please help with your expert opinion.
Hi,
My guess is that they will have to move to an Enterprise Edition license. And ODBC will work, but the Authorization tab in the documents will not appear and will not be applicable, as the only authentication method is DMS. So you better check this with your QlikView sales rep or partner manager, so he can help you on the best approach to this issue and the customer.
Hope that helps.
Miguel
