AJAX Scrolling Issues in Chrome & I.E.

We just ran into this issue where we can't vertical scroll with List Boxes and other objects (horizontal scrolling seems fine) in any of our apps.  We haven't upgraded our server recently so believe it's caused by client side updates.  All clients use AJAX clients with QlikView server version 11.20.12018.0 (11.2 SR3).   The browsers that do NOT work for us include:

  • Chrome - Version 31.0.1650.63 m  (on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1)
  • Internet Explorer 11 - version 11.0.9600.16476 (on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1)

There is a similar thread, but it relates to Access Point scrolling and points out that Chrome does work, so it may be different?  http://community.qlik.com/thread/103215

We have found that by switching I.E. 11 into I.E. 10 compatibility mode (F12 Developer Tools), we can get I.E. 11 to function. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find a workaround for Chrome.  Any ideas or help would be great.  We can't control the client machine release levels for all users so can't force a client downgrade.  Do we really have to go to 11.2 SR 5 on the server to fix this?

I can confirm that some of our users are still experiencing this issue in Chrome, running Windows 8.1.

We have our applications on 11.2 SR5.

11.2 SR 5 Supports up to Google Chrome 30, and Windows 8.  When 11.2 SR 6 is released, it will support up to Google Chrome 32 and Windows 8.1.  With that being said it sounds like your issues are due to QV not supporting the particular browser or OS version you are on.
