About AutoNumber

Hi All,

If I use Autonumber on a Key how can I Join ?

Lets say I am forming a key in script using four columns

Tab1:

Autonumber(Col1 & Col2 & Col3 & Col4) as Key

From Xyz;

Tab2:

Autonumber(Col1 & Col2 & Col3 & Col4) as Key

From ABC.

Now i want to join two tables.

How Qlikview will join in this case? because for Key in Tab1 the Autonumber will have different numbers and Tab2 the Autonumber will give different numbers.

If in Tab1 for Key "A & B & C & D" if autonumber gives value 4051.

Is it that in Tab2 if i have key  "A & B & C & D"  autonumber will give value 4051?

you got it!

for same values the same autonumber will be created

so in your example autonumber in Tab1 and tab 2 will create the same number 4051!

As long as it all happens within a single script.
