Access Point

Hi,

Does anyone know how you stop newly created apps automatically going on the access point? Currently everything is going on there and the list is becoming a little unmanagable...hoping you could either:

a) create folders to mange the documents

or

b) pick and choose which ones appear

Is this posible?

Cheers

Chris

Yes,

In your qlikview management console, under system ->

Under QVS -> Folders you can add mounted folders. When you add new folders you can choose if they should be browsable

That depends on whether you have a Publisher or not. With a publisher, it's easy: just don't distribute.

If you don't have a publisher, put the documents you don't want to make visible in the AP in a separate directory (not under the Document Root Folder) and turn that directory into a mount point. The mount point line in QMC has a check box called "Browsable". Remove the check mark if you don't want documents in this folder to become visible in the AP.

Best,

Peter

Yes.

The path were you want to store your Accesspoint documents (Those documents you distribute out)

Eg very standard is:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\YOUROWNFOLDER1(SALES)

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\YOUROWNFOLDER2(FINANCE)

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\YOUROWNFOLDER3(HR)

For an example it could be like that

Hi Thomas,

So how do you access them? isn't the point of picking browsable make this a possiblity?

How do you put documents in the folder?

AS mentioned we really need to reduce the amount of documents you see on the first screen.

Cheers

When picking af folder to be browsable, the user will be able to see all that content that is in the browser IF the user is authorizted to see the browser.

Lets say you wanna hide 100 test applications which are available on the accesspoint.

Then you create a folder in

C:\ProgramData\Qliktech\Documents\TEST

Put all your 100 applications under TEST and untick browsable. Then nobody is able to see the documents.
