You don't have Dimension Limit in Pivot Table.... While Rank can be used in both Straight Table and Pivot Table

Hi koripalli,

preferring the one over the other, in a specific instance, will depend on what you want to do ..

Not very helpful, I know, but no less correct - you need to start with a requirement and then choose which method best suits your needs.

If it was possible to generally say that one method is better than the other, why would a programmer take the effort of making two?

Best regards,

Koripalli,

While using Rank, Aggr()  is used in expressions. Use of aggr() causes performance issues. Dimension limits is better in performance than rank function. However, it depends on the requirement and use of where and when.
