Alternate State query

Hi all,

I have 2 parts on my sheet:

  • The first part uses one set of filters with Alternate State 1
  • The second part uses another set of filters with Alternate State 2

What I am looking for is to create a list box, that when selected, will apply to both sections / the whole sheet.

Is this possible? And do I need to create a 3rd Alternate State?

Thank you!

I don't think that a 3rd state will do what you require. Rather use state scope operators on the expressions that need common state value to select from the default state or from one of the two alternate states (as suggested by swuehl in your earlier post Alternate states: Sum(AS1 + AS2) for AS3?)

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for heads up.  Can you suggest how to use this the state scope in my case explained above? As I mentioned, Ive havent used this operator before.
