Alternative States Issue using variable

Hi

I have Created two charts in the expression Using Variable (MinDate,MaxDate) and then assigned a different state to each of them ,then i have taken a  list box for Year while i am selecting the Year Both the charts are filtering how can i restrict to filter values in second chart.
