Automate selection process

I have ship dates that the user can select and as they select it changes the values of another field in a chart. The goal is for this field value to be equal or greater than another value, which is calculated. The user has requested that I automate this process so when the calculated field value is set, the ship dates are advanced until the chart field is equal to or just greater than the calculated field. Can anyone assist me with the script that would do this?

I did try a couple of If statements but either it could not find the variables on my "Main" tab or it could not find the fields from my table depending on where I tried to enter the If statement.

Hi James - I apologize for the delay in responding to you - the forum seemed to push this post way down in the list. Can you send some supporting screenshots of what you are attempting to do, so we can get a better idea?

I assume you are using Sense correct and not QlikView?

Thanks

Mike

Hello Mike.

I am using QlikView and not Sense. I posted to Sense because it was my ONLY choice. ALl other groups were greyed out. Can you point me to someone who can help me on QlikView? Thank you for your time.

QlikView?

Thank you for your time.

Hi James - yes - I will move the discussion for you - when you stated "greyed out" can you give a bit more detail? You should be able to navigate to:

http://community.qlik.com/welcome

Discussion Forums

and then select a discussion forum in which you think may be appropriate. (I know, some overlap, when in doubt post to New to QlikView or App Development)

You should then be able to Start a Discussion from the Actions menu.

If not - there may be an issue with your account and one of our Community Gurus can look at it.

I will move the Discussion to App Development under QlikView and BUMP this to the top so it is seen.

If you do not get a response - direct message me and I will see what I can do.

Mike

I have been going into Create, where it makes you pick a Place, and all the places are greyed out except Sense and another. Thanks you the instruction and I will try this going forward. Thanks for moving my question too.
