Automation without server

Hi,

I've been reading a lot but it's not clear for me yet. If I have Qlik server BUT I don't have the publisher license, is there a way to automate data load using the server or this can only be done thru batch files?

Yes you can schedule reloads with the 'normal' QV server.  The limitations are (generally speaking) that you can only schedule hourly, daily, weekly, monthly etc.  Not, for example, one at 9am and then one at 11am .

You can get around this limitation by using scheduled tasks and a batch file on the server to reload whenever you require.  No need for Publisher.

umm.. you need to go to the QlikView Management console home page.  This is accessed via Internet Explorer.  Do you know the url for your Management Console?

Yes, that's not a problem. I don't know how to schedule using QMEC. Could you guide me a little bit?

Thanks

- From the QEMC home page go to 'User Documents'

- Select the document you want to schedule a reload for

- Select the 'Reload' tab

- Knock yourself out
