Bad practise to have unlinked tables in dashboard?

I am creating a dashboard that requires some additional information which is not linked to the main dataset.

It will be on a separate tab, but I'm thinking it might be bad practise to do that.

Would it affect data returned by the main dataset?

it just seems silly to create a whole new Qlikview dashboard just for this tiny bit of information...

No it should not be a problem .... it is ok to keep unrelated tables unliked while creating a dashboard.
