Dear all,
I have the following table. How do i have the customer and contract as horizontal axis? Meaning i want the chart display at the horizontal as below and the bar show on top
AAA-123 AAA-1234 AAA-12345 BBB-332 BBB-3321
| Customer | Contract | Cost | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| AAA | 123 | 5 | 10 |
| AAA | 1234 | 6 | 10 |
| AAA | 12345 | 8 | 10 |
| BBB | 332 | 8 | 10 |
| BBB | 3321 | 8 | 10 |
You can use a calculated dimension:
=Customer & '-' & Contract
and then as expression whatever you want to aggregate:
=only(Cost)
or
=avg(Price)
or whatever.
Instead of using a calculated dimension (available on dimension tab of chart properties), you can add a field in your load script, that does the same.
Chee
Create the table as a Chart of type Pivot table, you may well wish to set <Always Fully Expanded> on the presentation tab.
You will need a Calculated Dimension:
[Customer} & '-' & [Contract]
and for expressions
Only(Cost)
Only(Price)
Now comes the fiddly bit
In the GUI drag and drop the Calculated Dimension and drop on one of the expression titles.
Best Regards, Bill
Hi
Bring one field from load by Customer & '-' & Contract as CC, and then use as dimension, if you are using in many places.
hi swuehl,
I have created a calculated dimension as you mentioned. But it seems the dimension is not sorted by customer code.i want all the customer together.
