Best approach/Practice: Qualify/Unqualify or Aliasing name of the columns!

Hi,

I know for many of you this would be a simple question but I am new user so want to know which is best approach/Practice:- Using qualify/unqualify  or Alliasing name of the columns to avoid synthetic Tables.

Please help me understanding why if at all you can give example would be great.
