Hi,
I don't understand so much, maybe the attached sample could help?
Hi BBI_MBA
My problem is that I have to make a button on which I got the same result which u shown but there are no link like (location) in the two sheet....as show in attachment...
Rahul please rename location1 as location too and then the data model will have the complete linking ok and then give me the sample or do what BBI have done and given you .
Hi, you could add a second action to the button, in which you activate the second sheet.
And If I don't have Location1 fiend in 2nd excel... so how to do that...???
Please find attachment...
I don't understand.
When I select location=ADMIN the values Eastern Europe and Scandinavia/Russia and CIS of Market1 become active (white) because are associated to the location dimension. The other values become grey.
If Market2 is not associated to other data, only selection on Market2 will change own status (active/not active, white/grey): if there is a selection the selected values on Market2 become green, the others grey, otherwise all the values will be active (white).
Could you explain what is your desiderata?
I don´t know if I understand this but,
you may create a bookmark with the selection that enables you desired fields and then set by action set bookmark at button. After that you may lock the selection fields (If you do not want the user change back selection)
I hope this helps
Not 100% sure what you mean but I'll take a shot...if you just want the button to select both of those values in the field Market1 then take a look at the picture attached. You would just set a Select In Field action to the button, tell it the field to look in, and what values to select. Hope this helps some
