Can a user create derived metrics on the fly on a report without giving the admin access to the repor

Hi,

Could someone help for the below query ?

I have and adhoc report wherein if I provide base metric and most granular data , Is there an option on Qlikview where a user could create custom derived metrics on adhoc, without giving him admin access? We could then give them the base metrics and the users can create the required derived metrics.

if the user has a full named CAL   he can copy the qvw on his machine and does what he wants.

If not, users are allowed to create objects on server and share it (or not) to others

Hey Roopali,

If you are talking about the user being able to create his own charts/ tables with dimensions and expressions of his interest then 'Yes' its possible.

Just make sure 'Allow server objects' is checked in QEMC. System > Setup > ServerName > Documents
