Hello,
a while ago i was told that it is possible in qlikview to keep and show the evolution in time of a certain value even when it is not stored in database
feeding the qlikview document.
if you want invoicing per day it is not difficult, because you can use the invoice date as a dimension
But, for example if you want to keep track how many articles that are "active" of "end of life" at a certain moment,
this is not possible most ERP databases don't keep a tabel with records of these daily counts.
As i said i was told that this would be possible in qlikview.
Is this true? and if so, is this difficult to set up?
Can anybody point me into the right direction for documentation on this?
is this somewhere in the qlikview manual, and if so what's the terminology i should be looking for?
i hope i explained clear enough what i'm trying to achieve...
thanks allready for helpfull comments!!
grtz,
chris
Hi Chris,
You could use a QVD (or QVDs) to keep track of the historical statuses by storing down a daily snapshot of the statuses. This way you could load the trends in QlikView and see how the statuses have changed for different articles.
Hello,
thank you!
and do you know if i could find some documentation on this somewhere?
i'm teaching myself to work with qlikview so i could use some explanation... 🙂
thanx!!!
