In general, it's possible to use QlikView on iPads. I don't have much experience with it since iPads are not supported by our IT and as such they are not too commonplace here.
I guess you mean the BINARY LOAD? That cannot be limited unfortunately - you have to download the whole thing. Then of course you can throw out whatever you don't need.
=> An alternative might be to have another little app inbetween to do just that and then provide a smaller DataModel to load BINARY.
It's also possible to download from AccessPoint, but I'm not sure how.
