Changing "QV engines for distribution" setting. What to do?

Hello-

I am planning on changing this setting in QMC. For now I am going to stay below the number that would require me to edit the registry. My plan is to go from 4 to 8. I am fine on the resources side as well.

Do I need to restart any services after I make this change?

Should I do any specific backups prior to making this change? Normally if I am making a change to the configs I make backups, but I wasn't sure since this was in QMC if that was required.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi Randi,

You should be fine with 8 QV Engines. No, there isn't a need to restart the QV services after adding additional engines and I don't foresee the need to make an additional backup of %ProgramData%\QlikTech directory.
