Columns no longer showing #### if too narrow?

Hi Guys.

In all my models to date, if a column (containing values)is too narrow its shows ### which is exactly want I want.

Suddenly, my columns are hiding characters, which is a bit dangerous as users could misinterpret the numbers [image attached]

How to I get it back to "####"
