Comparative Analysis Question

Hello,

I have the following 2 comparative analysis code when comparing two brand names.  I'm wondering how is the code different from set analysis?

Would it be the same as filter by BRAND_NAME and return sum(TXN) using set analysis?

Sum ({[Nike] <BRAND_NAME={'Nike'},SHOE = $::SHOE>}TXN)

Sum ({[Puma] <BRAND_NAME={'Puma'},SHOE = $::SHOE>}TXN)

Need some help to understand the difference.  Your help is much appreciated!
