Compare Scripts

Hello,

I have two different versions of the same application, with small variations in the script.

Is there a quick way in QlikView to identify the differences in a scripts between two applications?

Thanks.

Hello, I do not think this can be done through qlikview, however, if you export your script into .qvs format, you can use a version control software, such as svn or cvs, in order to keep you work synchornized.

Last Monday QlikView announced a new partnership with NOAD, a company who has developed version control functionality specific for Business Objects and QlikView. Their software can also provide difference analyses on QlikView documents. I'm going to evaluatie what more it can do!.

-Best,

Jeroen

TextDiff will to the trick.

it will show file A and B side by side and highlight the differences.

you can also create a report to show only different code.

free, opensource, also aviable as a portable version
