Creation of QVD Files

Hi,

I am quite new to this QlikView, I am going through the document I am not sure how to create a QVD file using excel file. I have one excel file test.xls on the desktop and want to create QVD file of that excel.

Could you pls suggest with the commands as I couldn't find in the document.

Tim,

the better way is to add from table files.

after add the excel you can store it into .qvd using store command.

See I have created qvw using qvd file using excel file, but if any updates happen in the excel file its not reflecting in the qvw file what is the script should I need to use to get the latest records in qvw file.

You just need to reload the Qvw application to get the latest records ....

Yes I did before posting but its not reflecting. If I reload QVD then its appearing in the QVW file because QVD is the source file for QVW.

Hi,

All the time you change the excel file you need to reload the application and it will load the updated data...
