Currency Conversion without using Peek function

I have done the currency conversion with Peek.

Can we do it without using peek function. Kindly help me out.

Maybe if you really want to do things the difficult way. But I think this is the best solution.

Ya it really works fine. But I want to achieve it with other functions. Can we do it in front end. Any advice ? Really it helps.
