Current selections

HI All,

Is there a way to restrict "Current Selections" object to show only the selections made in a specific sheet rather than all selections made in the solution ?

I have 5 sheets in a solution which are not related and the current selections object in Sheet -5 is showing the selections made in sheets 1-4 along with sheet-5 selections which is a bit confusing to the user.

thanks for suggestions.

Chandra

You can create Alternate states from Settings -> Document Propertities -> Alternate States.

In General tab of current selections, give the alternate state as above. But you need to apply the same alternate state for all the sheet objects in the sheet, then it would be specific to this particular sheet.

Thanks,

Sai

If you need to save the selections on each sheet while a user moves between the sheets, Sai's solution will work.

If you don't care to clear the selections when switching sheets, use the OnActivate sheet trigger to unlock and clear all selections.

Do you have a sample?  You'll need to create an alternate state for every sheet and then in each sheet you will need to change the property of every object to leverage the alternate state.

Ive changed it to all objects in the sheet and it worked. Thanks Nick & Sai.
