I've built a line graph trending an operational metric by day, and comparing it to the previous year. Our performance fluctuates in a predictable way over the course of a given week. My dimension is the day_of_the_year. Right now, doing a year-over-year comparison looks strange, because the day of the week on this date last year was different than this year. I assume that it would involve "Enable Conditional" on the Dimensions tab, but I haven't yet gotten anything to work. Any idea about how to make this adjustment?
Hi,
Could you attach your sample qvw file.

Hi,
With comparisons of weeks across quarters (and to an extent across months) the retail sector often group weeks according to the format 4-4-5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4%E2%80%934%E2%80%935_calendar). This enables you to compare, for example, weekends to eachother, and then have the 13 weeks sum up to a quarter.
You can then extend this principle to a 52-53 week fiscal year.
