Depending task issue

Hi Experts,

We have scheduled the task one by one successful (Depending task) in QMC.

            Success

Task1    ------------>     Task2

Task 1 is used to update the qvd.

My issue is Task1 is updated the all qvds, but control is not moved to the next task2 and task1 is showing as running continuously.

Regards,

Kabilan K.

Hi Kabilan,

This sometimes happen as a weird behaviour. Are you facing this problem everytime?

Better as a best practice, try to restart your QlikVIew services every (mainly QDS) day at a specific time, when there is no reload.

Hi,

What Schedule are you using for Task1?

Better remove the task, restart the services and create the task again.

This might help!!!

This is weird behaviour as a part of network issues or services overload,

Have you got your 1st task document generating a document log? If so, check the last line states 'Execution finished.'. If it does not, then the 1st task could be caught in a loop or waiting for something and hence not triggering the dependant task.

What happens if you run task 2 manually does it work?

The same thing with Task 1 (create a copy of the task and then change the schedule and run manually).
