Dynamic update

Hello,

I have a question regarding dynamic update.

Is there any restriction to use it ?

Could you tell me how to save the updated data ? Is It inside the QVW ?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Data inserted by Dynamic Update is not stored in the QVW.  When the QVW is reloaded or removed from memory all dynamic updates will disappear.  The data must have been saved in another source where it can be picked up in the next reload.

Hello Julien,

It's hard to give all information. Could you tell, what do you want to get?

The data can be inside QVW or in QVD. (I misunderstud the question, sorry)

Do you use QlikView Server or QlikView Desktop client for dynamic update?

Regards,

Serge

There are no restrictions in common case. Actually, it's a big question.

I hope this QlikView Server Reference Manual will help https://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-8239

or try to find other materials. I found just that one, sorry.

I think you have to add those multiple users into Qlikview administration group in order to use dynamic update. So this is a restriction.

Below thread may be helpful.
