Error connecting to Oracle OLE DB with SID instead of service name

Hi all, I have an Oracle OLE DB connection that has a "SID" instead of a service name:

When testing this connection in Qlikview I'm getting the error "TNS: listener does not currently know of service requested in connector descriptor"

How can I connect to a DB with SID?

That's something you should discuss with your oracle database administrator.

First check is the TNS entry is present in the tnsnames.ora file.

If this entry is present , then go to database server and restart the listener service.

If this entry is not present , then first do the entry first.

TNSNAMES.ora file is prensent at

/app/product/11.0/network/admin/
