Exclude a field from Current Selections Box

Is there anyway to exclude a field from showing up in the Current Selections box?

I have a couple of fields that are used for some functionality that I don't want the users to be able to see.

I've been able to configure it so that they can't remove the selection, but I'd prefer to not even show this to the user.

Give these fields a prefix like '%'
Put this in your script : set HidePrefix  = '%' ;

This field will become a system field, thes won't show up in the current selections box.

Thx, that worked.

Hi Dirk,

I have the same problem.

I don't want a certain field to be shown in current selection.

The problem is that in my loading script I do load *.

So how can I add % to its name?

Thanks,

Inna

Hi Inna,

Use the Rename Field

Rename field aaaKey to %aaaKey;

Put this after the load statement.

Hi, Dirk.

It does not work for me .

This is my script :

SET ThousandSep=',';

SET DecimalSep='.';

SET MoneyThousandSep=',';

SET MoneyDecimalSep='.';

SET MoneyFormat='$#,##0.00;($#,##0.00)';

SET TimeFormat='hh:mm:ss TT';

SET DateFormat='DD/MM/YYYY';

SET TimestampFormat='DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss[.fff] TT';

SET MonthNames='Jan;Feb;Mar;Apr;May;Jun;Jul;Aug;Sep;Oct;Nov;Dec';

SET DayNames='Mon;Tue;Wed;Thu;Fri;Sat;Sun';

TempNetworkDomainData:

LOAD *

FROM D:\QlikView\YbrantDigital\Qvd\sql_data\DAILY_M1*.qvd

(qvd);

Rename field PPublisherName to %PPublisherName;

//Set hideprefix='%';

Concatenate

LOAD *

FROM D:\QlikView\YbrantDigital\Qvd\sql_data\DAILY_RA*.qvd

(qvd);

Rename field PPublisherName to %PPublisherName;

//Set hideprefix='%';

concatenate

LOAD *

FROM D:\QlikView\YbrantDigital\Qvd\sql_data\DAILY_ORIDIAN*.qvd

(qvd);

Rename field PPublisherName to %PPublisherName;

//Set hideprefix='%';

And also I unchecked Show system fields in properties of the chart.

What else can be done?

Thanks,
