Extension object vs Silverlight

Hi Experts,

I am trying to view data which is build on a Silverlight app/plugin. It opens normally on the IE browser with the URL.

However, when I try to view the data using the same URL on the web view extension object, it says to install Silverlight.

Despite of installing the Silverlight still I keep seeing the same message.

Anyone has any guesses what could be the issue?

Details on the extension: I am using the basic/standard extension than came with the QlikView.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Shyam

Using Webviewer extension object we can see the websites in dashboards, but coming to silver light might be required to open that website.

so both are seperate, try to install silver light and can try to access the website.

Hi Sasi,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have installed the Silverlight and then tried to access the website (that is built on the silver light) using the Web View extension. However, it still does not work.

Please correct me if I understood your response incorrect.

Regards,

Shyam.

Hi,

In webview only we can see the webpages using webviewer extensions.

Even though we install silver light in our local system, will not work in server. Need to install in server as well.

Once try to change the URL to some www.google.com and see weather your extension was working properly or not.

Hi Sasi,

Yes the web viewer extension work good with any other website. But it has issues with the websites that use Silverlight.

I have installed the Silverlight on the server too. But still I have the issue.

Please find the attached screenshot.

Shyam.
