QlikView 10 introduced a way to add metadata to a document: allowing expressions to be commented and fields to be tagged. I'm wondering how much is this feature used and how it changed the way you design a QlikView application. In which cases this feature allow to do something that wasn't possible in previous versions?
in QV 10 SR1 QlikView did introduce ways to tag your fields & expressions and few other metadata related features.
SR2, going to be released this week, will provide way more features under the umbrella of Metadata, as they have enhanced the XML portion of QVW and QVD files and store more metadata information right there.
If you are thinking of doing something under Metadata subject, you may want to wait this week and go with SR2 to see what's there out of the box and how you can enhance utilize it in your projects. I am sure there will be bunch of examples and how-to documents will be released as well.
