$Field to be used in an action button

Dear Qlikview User

I want to put an action on a button.   I am unsure what action to use, but I would like to set the action on an $Field

I.e. I want the button to select the $Field "Division"

Is anyone able to help

I have tried Select In Field

                 Set Variable

and unfortunately none of these work

Any suggestions?

I think I had an = sign in front of the Division.

Yup, that could be it, if you want to use =, then you would need to use single quotes around your search string

='Division'
