Filter top 10 rows in a table

Hi guys,

Trying to find the best way to filter data by top 10. for example i have a table as follow:

ID     Amount     Quantity     Date

1      500            20            2/10/2012

2      300            10            4/3/2013

..

..

50    100            35            11/10/2013

I have loaded the table and need to create filters to show top 10. for example top 10 by amount will show only the highest top 10 amounts..

the top 10 by quantity will show the top 10 by highest quantity.

and by date returns the top 10 close to today's date..

Thxs,

Alec

You can use a straight table.  In the chart properties, there is "Dimension Limits" tab.  Choose the dimension you want to limit, click "restrict..." check box, in options below uncheck "show others".  This exists in QV11.

Another way (available in any QV version, and maybe closer to what you need) - see presentation tab, check "max number", enter 10.  Make sure to sort by expression your want to use as criteria.

Regards,

Michael
