Filtering for multiple date function...

Hi,

Could any one help me with the below req:

I have a table with

// ID,

BatchNUM,

//P.TYPE,

// AreaCODE,

DATE1,

DATE2,

STATUS_RATE

fields. Here the status of P.TYPE are checked randomly and rated. I have to sum the P.TYPE with similar rating. One more thing is, to take the Date1 or Date2 which ever the latest.

The data is from 2006 to 2011, I have to filter the 2011 data from this table to a different table using resident load.

What calender will best suit for this scenario to know the status of F.Type between two random dates.

Any ideas will be appreciated.
