Floating Text

Dear all,

If you can check the data visualization app into the qlikview example folder, you will find the shadow of Qlikview as highlighted below

is floating like waves...

How to achieve this?

That's an animated GIF. Should be easy to create using free or cheap bitmap editors. There are a lot of those available on-line, but maybe you already have a bitmap editor that supports the creation of animated GIFs.

AFAIK MS Paint cannot create such GIF files.

You could also export the original from the containing QlikView document. A technique to do this for document backgrounds is described here: How to extract background images from Qlik Examples?

Exporting images from text objects could be done more or less in the same way. You'll only need to locate the Text Object XML file.

Good luck,

Peter
