My customer really likes the way google plots trend chart.

Is it possiblle to create something similar in Qlikview?

basically line chart with line area merged?

Does the line chart with a 'Symbol' on the 'expression' work?  What do you mean by the 'line area merged'?

Line chart's with data points are very possible in QlikView.  It may not look 100% the same, but very similar

but i think he is wondering about line chart with area charts and data points on the same plot...which i'm not entirely sure can be done. but i've been wrong before

i have an idea...why not use the google chart itself in your dashboard. google charts can be used in qlikview applications seamlessly. i have used google venn diagram and pie chart and they do look and work great. of course, since they are not native Qlikview charts, they do have a few limitations from Qlikview point of view.

you may also want to check this extension object. It is a bar / line chart where you can combine bars, lines and areas, so you can achieve the same effect as in the google chart. It is easy to customize and it lets you to display up to 6 expression (2 lines, 2 bars, 2 areas):

glad we are on the same page...i attached a qvw that uses google pie chart and another for venn diagram. you can use these as examples to create an area chart to recreate the chart in qlikview.

here is the api for area chart from google...i haven't had a chance to go through it in detail, but i think series attribute looks like the one that controls the data point shapes, etc.
