Graphically pleasing.....

Hi All,

I am not new to Qlikview 4/5 years and I am reasonably good with coding but confession time.... I have a weakness they don't look nice and further being an accountant I have lots of tables and pivot tables rarely using charts.

The reason I posted in this group is that I am looking for Beginners guide to design - I am trying to make application more appealing more user friendly and less like an Accountants tool.

If anyone has any guides of could point out books it would be appreciated

Thanks,

Rob

Stephen Few's website www.perceptualedge.com is a great resource. Check out the examples and the discussions forum. Stephen has also written the book called Information Dashboard Design. It's a great book. I recommend you get it and read it. And consider getting the book Show Me The Numbers as well.

Also, check out the 'Data Visualisation.qvw' and  'QlikView Developer Toolkit.qvw' example files that shipped with version 10. If you are a partner there was also an excellent presentation on design in QlikView called 'Design and Functionality Best Practices' created by Jessica Brangielon. It's on the Qonnect Portal.
