Group by time and date

Hi, I have events table and those events happen in different times. i want to get previous day events and categorize them based on shifts.

My Shifts are 06:30 - 14 :30

                    14:30 - 22 :30

                    22 : 30 - 06 :30

My event date is in 11-04-2015 5:17:00 PM format.

I want to get the event day counts in last 3 complete shifts. ( if i reload it on  11 - 04 - 2015 03 : 00 am

Then i'm considering    14 : 30 - 22 :30  on 11 - 03 - 2015

                                  06:30 - 14 :30 on 11 - 03 - 2015

                                  22 : 30 - 06 :30 on 11 - 02- 2015     as three complete shits.

Can i do it by not doing changes in scripts ?

or else how can i solve this problem.

Do you have Shift table as well along with Event Table?

06:30 - 14:30

14:30 - 22:30

22:30 - 06.30 next day
