Hierarchy & Sub Total from Linear Data

LocationValue

Asia

10
Sri Lanka1
China2
Japan3
Europe7
Paris1
Germany4
Sweden5
Denmark1

I would like to represent the aboe in a pivot table with 1st column as

Continent having Values Asia & Europe and 2nd column as sri Lanka,China,Japan for Asia

& Paris,Germany,Sweden,Denmark for Europe

The value in each cell for the Coutry should show the values as above while the Sub Total for Asia shud be 10 & for Europe shud b 7.

Pease note that the totals for Asia & Europe are not simply the totals of their underlying Countries.

So in all I have two problems:

1) Make an Hierachy out of it assuming that i have the Hierarchy for Location in some othe Table with their Codes, how do i link/convert the above list to an Hierarchy.

2) Showing Subtotals for Countries whoch actually are not the Sum Totals of the Row.

Regards
