How can I calculate or link back to current FY based off todays date

Hi everyone,

New question:

Using the function Today() to pull back todays date, how can calculate the fiscal year it falls in to?  Where fiscal year 2011 equals  7/1/2010 to 6/31/2011.

I do have a calendar I pull through from my dictionary called [Surgery Date] and in that same table I bring through fields called [Surgery Start Date FY Year] which is the FY that date falls in to.  I need to either calculate the current FY off of the Today() function OR link it back to my loaded dates and pull the FY that way.

What I want to do is use a variable called vCurrentFY in a set analysis so that on loading the application it will always look at current FY vs prior FY data based off the date the application is opened.

All of my set analysis works if I manually select a FY so I know that parts pretty good.  Just can't figure out how to default it.

It's likely an easy solution, but I am totally failing to see it.

Thanks,

Stan
