How does strict exclusion work?

Hi, does anyone know anything about the feature:

Settings: Document Properties -> Opening -> 'Initial Data Reduction Based on Section Access' or 'Strict Exclusion'?

Currently having some issues logging in from certain machines (note, not NT logins / accounts, but particular boxes) that ticking or unticking this checkbox has an effect on, but thats as close as we can get to remedying it. Without knowing what these options do its difficult to make any progress, and I cant find any documentation on it? Thanks guys.

Those options are related to Section access.

Unless you use section access (limiting the users' access by certain levels), i would assume these options should not impact you.

Indeed, we are implementing section access. We have to types of section access depending on if we are doing testing or if the dashboard is refreshed in the live environment. In the test environment, it uses a login prompt, so that we can log in as any user and see how they will view the dashboard. In live, it uses the NT login of the user.

The problem we are having is that in our test environment, on certain machines, if you try to log in as anyone other than an admin user (A user who can see all trades) the login is not accepted.
