How to filter a value by a variable

Hello

I have a set of data based on an excel s/sheet.

The Valuation Basis below has changed from period 201803 to 201806 from 'Price of recent investment' to 'DCF'

I just added Valuation basis as a dimension and it returns 'Price of recent investments' no matter what period I choose.

So I am thinking that maybe I have to use a calculated dimension.

For the current period I use a variable 'vEndPeriod'.

So I was thinking so that it returns the correct Valuation basis for the period I would pick a calculated dimension  or an expression (not sure which) and but not sure what I would use.

Could anyone help please!

Hi

Can you please share sample app? Also, how you are defining the Start Period and end Period. It looks like you have one Row in your app for these 2 records OR atleast you want to consider it that way?

So I have an input box where I have renamed vEndPeriod as Period to

So in this case because vEndPeriod is 201806 I just want to pick the second line and column L DCF

Does that help?
