How to retain selections of country when you select previous month from the graph

Hi Experts,

I am stuck with some qlikview work which I feel is not feasible but please help me out if any other alternate solution.

Question :

I have created sample app which will be having 3 years of data. Its not rolling past 12 months but by default I am displaying 2 years od data.

Lets say I have selected Year as 2017 then Country as India. After this I will select the some set of bars of 2016 from the bar chart then Country will get cleared. So I think this is the by default nature of Qlikview. But Can we retain the selections when we select 2016 here.

Please use alternate states and restrict the selection you are expecting.

Attached is the reference file

Alternate States has to be defined in Setting -> Document Properties -> Alternate States

In list boxes and Chart properties, refer general tab for Alternate States
