I want to shorten the validate time of CALs for an assigned user.

I want to shorten the validate time of an assigned user.  If a user has not been in  use for 30 mins, the cal will be remove automatically. But the default setting is 24 hours. It is too long for me. I used the named cal. And there are 10 cals on server. The user amount is 20, each user will access the server every day. Each visit will last 10 mins. So the default setting 24hours is too long for me. What can I do about this? Thanks.

IN reference manule:

To delete an assigned user, thus freeing a Document
CAL, click on the Delete button ( ). If the
CAL has not been in use for the last 24 hours, it
will be deleted immediately. If the CAL is currently
being used or has recently been used, it will
be marked for deletion, and not allow new sessions
for user access through this CAL, but will still
occupy an allocated CAL until the Quarantined
until time. During this period, you may undelete by
clicking the Restore button ( ). After the quarantine
period, you may delete the entry manually
(by clicking on the Delete button), or restart the
QVS service.

hi,

I dont think there is option to set the time limit for cals. But you cann clear all the cals by deleting the .pgo files.

Stop the Qlikview Server and Web services.

Go to C:\Document and Settings\All users\Application Data\Qlitech\Qlikview\

Search the file in the above folder..

But it will clear all the users. (Please keep a back up of the same..).
