Interval Match not working

Hi

My interval match isn't working and I strongly believe its because of the date and time fields

I include both dashboard and an excel spreadsheet with Data tab and 2 interval match tabs

I've spend the last 2.5 hours on this and I cannot figure it out

Hi,

I recommend you to take a look at Henric's post on this:

Also, here is some other ways of solving the problem:

IntervalMatch and Slowly Changing Dimensions

What exactly is this IntervalMatch supposed to do? Looking at the Data tab, I could for example use it to match Event Description to Event Date & Time and MachineID. But Event Description is already available on Data sheet, so what's the point?

Anyway, there are some problems in your script with time and date format, in case it's of use for you:

1. Don't load Event Date and Time with Timestamp#. It's a numeric timestamp in Excel already, so there is no point in trying to read it as if it was text (which is what Timestamp# does, breaking the values in the process and converting them to text)

2. Because of the above, and after you do the same thing with Timestamp# to your (correctly calculated before) FromDateTime and ToDateTime fields, your final IntervalMatch tries to match pure text fields. That can't work, the values being matched, interval start and interval end all have to be numeric.
