Hi,
I know it is possible to read the classic pivot table. But is it possible to read the data from the newer version of Pivot Tables, which has all the "ROW LABELS" in a single column. ?
I don't have the data source for my pivots and all the old files have pivot tables in the new format.
Can you please guide me?
Could you show an example of what you mean?
I don't have MS Excel 2013 at home so can't provide the excel sheet. I can only ( )provide you the link to the image from the internet ! !
Can you guide me @Onno van Knotsenburg ?
When you read this thru QV, It will show the single column for Row Labels.
Have you tried to change the pivot table as Classic Pivot table ? (Not sure in 2013 but check)
Or,
In excel pivot table, Double click the Grand Total (380), It will create the data source.
then you can use it as normal Qlikview Load..
Hi,
The pivot is not longer connected to the database. I am neither able to change to "Classic Pivot table" nor able to "create data source" by double click.
There is a VBA function which Cell.IndentLevel that I am trying to explore to return the indent level. But I am not sure if it would work to re-construct the straight table
