I still have some issues with filtering in my report. The problem is that I had already mapped the FuelType of one table to another one but still I have to select both of them in the filter FuelType and NIfueltype to specify what kind of data i want to see...The both fields are logically mapped using the fuel look up table in report image
I also tried to use a mapping table for this but still I cant solve the issue. My requirement is that I need to select only FuelType and Not NIFueltype because they have the same value. What could be my approach?
I have attached my qvw for reference here
Hi,
Do you need FuelType in Summary Table?
Saludos.
Actually the fuel type in summary table is corresponding to Four values HSFO;HSDO,LSFO;LSDO:The fuel type is coming from another application has some other values like rmk 700 or DMA:
I had to create a mapping table so that it mapped if THE FUEL TYPE IS RMK 700 AND SULPHER CONTENT IS MORE THAN .1percent then it is HSFO and so on.
Hi,
With this mapping you have created a Fuel category, so you have to filter in Fuel if you want to filter in the minimum level or in category if you wnat to filter in the upper level.
Saludos.
The issue is with your data model - there are two Fuel Type fields where you only need one so your filters are consistent.
Have a look at this post by stevedark for ideas on optimising your model. Perfect Your QlikView Data Model
Thanks for the mention Colin.
But I want to use only one of them..I cant figure out what could be the possible solution for this
Hi Banerjee,
Can you share excel sheet?
