It is possible in Pivot table to short values on the basis of the calculated exp?

Can anyone tell me it is possible to short the pivot table on the basis of the calculated Expression.

i.e pivot table is shorted on the the basis of the Dimension but i want it to short on the basis of the expression

Hi,

  Yes it is possible..........There is one option in Sort tab Sort by Expression level.......You can select that and paste your expression then you can sort...........

Presume you mean Sort on Expression, not Short.

In the Sort tab for a Pivot Table you can tell it how to sort each dimension.  this includes the standard Text etc, but also can use:

"Y- Value" which will sort all dimensions by the first expression column.

"Expression" which will sort that dimension by the result of expression you enter.  eg. If first expression in chart is Sum(Budget_Sales) then put that into the sort expression and your chart will be sorted by Budget Sales.  Can use any valid expression in that section.

Yes, a pivot table can be sorted on the basis of an expression.

Go to the Properties->Sort and you can apply the sorting on expression from below box:
