Item totals add up to straight chart total

Hi,

I have comparative data in a straight table.

The data is such that one master record can be associated with two other records

For example

Product 1 (id =4) Sales = 80

Comparative products are as follows:

Product 5   (id = 27)  Sales = 20

Product 12 (id = 40)  Sales = 20

So in total Product 1 did 80% of the sales/

For sales as there is no clear way for Qlikview to differentiate between the two products the sales for both products are the same.

I have a straight table showing percent, its coming out like this

Total:         | 20%

Product 5   | 20%

Product 12 | 20%

How do I get Qlikview to slip the totals properly, like this:

Total:         | 20%

Product 5   | 10%

Product 12 | 10%

I tried ticking "relative" on the expression but this made the figures incorrect.

For your expression, try setting the Total Mode to 'Sum' of Rows rather than Expression Total

dont select relative.... because relative means t will convert 100% defaultly itself the result will not match with your values....

Ok I did it like this:

Selected total at Sum of rows.

Then each row divided by NoOfRows()

Hi,

You should use something like Sum(Sales) / Sum(Total Sales)

I am, its just that the associative data can result in multiple alternate products. The problem was really the percentages as displayed in a straight table

Markee this as correct answer as it worked in conjunction with NoOfRows()
