Left align in chart

Hi,

Is it possible to use left align on the dimensional text in graphs?

With normal graphs this is usually not a problem but when the dimension text is on the left I would prefer to have the text aligned to the left. I have looked for such a possibility but I cannot find it.

Anyone knows how to do it?

on Axes tab Uncheck Truncate Lables.

The suggestion above from IsrarKhan should work fine.

But if your dimension labels end up too squashed against the left hand edge of your object, then left padding with spaces by using a Calculated Dimension could make it look better :

     '     ' & [YourDimField]

Thanks for your suggestions but I dont understand. I dont have anything called "truncate labels" in the axes tab.

The above is a picture on which texts I am trying to align. is that the same that you mean?

• What version of QlikView are you using ?

• What type of Chart is it ?

Version 11.

Is this a new feature?

I have never been able to left align those texts.

It is a combo chart but it is the same with a normal bar chart.

Very weird, I am also using Version 11, [11.2 SR4 to be precise] and the Truncate Label option is there for me on both Bar and Combo Charts.  I have never seen it missing, even on the earlier releases of QV11.

I am not sure what to suggest, maybe somebody else on this forum can assist.

If not you may have to put a call into QlikTech on Monday.

A wild guess though, have you tried creating a new qvw and seeing if you have the option with a virgin qvw.

truncate label is a new feature.

I dont think you can do anything in your version (if ur table is static, you could throw a listbox/chart with names infront of the bars)

Havent tried with truncate labels in SR4
