Linked objects in nested containers

As I use containers more and more and use containers inside containers, I am becoming incredibly frustrated with the auotmoatic linking of objects that takes place.

More specifically, you cannot unlink objects inside containers without taking them apart.

Does anybody have any tips in dealing with this BS?

It's 5 years later since your post Aaron and I was wondering if this issue has ever been resolved?  I too am fighting this (again) and have many nested container objects that need to be unlinked.  Any pointers to an updated solution or work around would be appreciated.

I experienced this issue today and agree with the mood in this thread - it is very, very frustrating (and seemingly unnecessary).

I'm using 12.20.204, November 2017 SR3.  The issue definitely persists.

As Rob stated, it appears to be bug.  Does anyone know how to report it?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

You should open a case with Qlik Support.

I doubt it's on the radar of Qlik R&D or probably would have been fixed by now.  I'm guessing no one has ever reported it to Support.

Thank you, Rob.

I actually have an open case with QV Support right now.  I'll try to get one logged for this, too.
